Eastern Bristlebird (2/11)

PASSERIFORMES: Dasyornithidae

Dasyornis brachypterus  

It was calling from a thickly vegetated area on the edge of the forest and finally popped up into a bush to have a look at me thereby allowing me to get a fairly close and reasonable view of it along with a couple of somewhat foliage obscured shots.

Nevertheless an exciting moment for me as this was my first ever sighting of this secretive and endangered bird.
